Why we're here
Established in 2018, the Egg Chasers were born out of friendship, loyalty, and a determination to make a difference. After learning that former teammate Mike Crisp had been diagnosed with MND, we set out to raise a few quid for Crispy’s own ‘Pain in the ALS’ campaign — and to support the wider MND community.
With the incredible generosity of our sponsors, we secured our first playing kit, the players signed up without hesitation, opposition was lined up, and on Saturday 22nd September 2018, we ran out for our very first game.
From that moment on, the journey gathered momentum.
We’ve faced some outstanding teams, shared unforgettable days, and — most importantly — raised over £50,000 for MNDA charities and counting.
While the reason behind our mission is a tough one, our ethos has always been clear: play rugby the way we always have. Hard. Competitive. Relentless. And when the final whistle blows? An aftermatch filled with song, laughter, and a well-earned beer.

Our identity
Our black, white, and orange playing kit takes its inspiration from the legendary Barbarians Rugby Club — the greatest invitational side the game has ever seen.
Building on their iconic black-and-white foundation, we introduced orange to represent our commitment to MNDA charities. The result? A bold evolution of a classic — a kit that blends tradition with purpose.
What started as a tribute has become something of its own: the unmistakable (and undeniably stylish) Egg Chasers identity.
